Data393
to Adopt Plesk7 as Standard Control Panel for New Dedicated
and Shared Server Customers [March 12, 2004]
DENVER,
Mar 12, 2004 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Data393, a locally
owned co-location and managed Web hosting services company,
today announced that it will adopt Plesk 7 from SWsoft
as its standard control panel for new dedicated server,
shared and bulk reseller server customers.
The decision follows Data393's January
merger with Denver hosting companies Huge Hosting and
Ventures Online, which brought more than 10,000 customers
to its high-end, 6,200-square-foot facility. Located
in far south Denver, Data393 has connections from eight
separate Tier-1 Internet service providers, enabling
the company to host even the most complex applications
and data-rich Web sites. Last fall, Data393 was chosen
by Hughes Network Systems as a "point of presence"
for its next-generation broadband satellite system.
Following an extensive review of the
industry's best control panel products, Data393 selected
the recently released Plesk 7 platform as giving server
customers the most stability, features and management
tools.
"Plesk 7 is an outstanding, world-class
product that meets our need to support both Linux and
Windows from a single control panel," said Data393
Vice President of Operations Paul Beckelheimer.
"At the same time, our customers
gain the benefit of more stable and robust functionality
than they've received previously," said Beckelheimer.
"This platform has a strong performance history
and greatly simplifies the management of an Internet
presence. Stability and access to the right tools are
key, and Plesk 7 will let us deliver that promise to
our growing customer base."
