15, 2005]
Jackson,
MS, February 15, 2005 – The Mississippi Society
of Health-System Pharmacists has announced the launch
of their new website, www.MsSHP.org. The MSHP is a professional
society of pharmacists and related personnel practicing
in organized healthcare settings.
Michael Vinson, Director of the Bureau
of Pharmaceutical Services at the School of Pharmacy
at Ole Miss, said the website’s goal is to better
serve the Society’s membership as well as the
general public. “We want to provide our members
with an up-to-date information source about upcoming
events, meetings, and continuing education, plus contact
information for our officers and committee chairpersons,”
he said. “We also included items of interest to
others, such as our Society’s history and goals.”
U.S. NetworX developed the site. “We
worked to create a design that is attractive, straightforward,
and functional,” said Kristen Fowler, U.S. NetworX
Director of Operations. “A few helpful features
we included are a news and announcements section, an
online policy and procedure manual, and a newsletter
archive.”
Founded in 1953, the MSHP Society has
over 300 members. MSHP is a state affiliate of the American
Society of Health-System Pharmacists, and has three
districts throughout the state to facilitate member
involvement on a local level.
U.S. NetworX is a national provider
of e-business services, including website and database
development, maintenance, and hosting, website marketing,
dedicated servers, and web security, as well as nationwide
dialup and ISDN internet access. Their website is located
