Dimensions International Signs Hosting Contract with
Inflow [10th April 2003]
PITTSBURGH, Apr 10, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE)
-- Today, InFlow, Inc., a leading provider of managed
web hosting and IT services, announced the addition
of new customer Development Dimensions International
(DDI), a global human resources consulting firm.
For Manu Brahmam, manager of MIS for
DDI, the decision to outsource to Inflow was the culmination
of many months of research and discussions with Inflow's
sales team. "We were most happy with Inflow's people,
technical expertise and especially its method and process
focus by which it does business," said Brahmam.
"Inflow was a big fish in a small pond, and ultimately
the fish we wanted."
"We were thrilled to win DDI's
business," said Patrick Bixel, general manager
for Inflow in Pittsburgh. "Inflow's process focus
and unparalleled technical capability was the right
solution to support DDI's base of thousands of users."
DDI provides many Fortune 500 companies
with end-to-end e-recruiting services that help them
select, assess and hire the best candidates. DDI's customer
base, which includes Texaco, Bank of America, Sanofi-Synthelabo,
and Boeing International, relies on them for online
screening and assessment tools that are accessible 24/7
in a highly secure environment.
Mike Broeker, DDI director, E-Systems,
said traffic on DDI's system often reaches hundreds
of thousands of hits per day. "Our product requires
a very high degree of availability, as there are surges
of traffic to the job assessments at certain times --
especially on Sundays after applicants read our clients'
job openings," Broeker added. "Uptime and
redundancy are critical to our success."
Brahmam had been encouraging his company
to consider moving their in-house servers to an outsourced
provider since early 2001. The need for an outsourced
provider became more prevalent as DDI began experiencing
problems with power, Telco, liability possibilities,
and lack of processes as it grew. In August of last
year, DDI started looking for a provider that was nationally
known yet local, and offered superior technical capability,
overall infrastructure reliability, and financial stability.
The company signed on with Inflow in October to host
one application, and is currently migrating its production
environment into Inflow's Pittsburgh facility.
"Inflow was the only game in town
worth looking at, and ironically, after reviewing other
national providers not located in Pittsburgh, Inflow
ended up being our first choice," said Brahmam.
DDI's manager of network services, Maurice
Gordon commented on Inflow's customer-oriented focus.
"Inflow's customer service is fantastic. The staff
is always helpful and clear; I do not hesitate to discuss
with Inflow any needs that I have."
"Inflow remains phenomenal,"
said Brahmam. "We're even more happy with Inflow
today than when we first chose them."
In February, DDI also purchased Inflow's
NOC Co-Sourcing services, which offers the company the
benefit of utilizing Inflow's processes, people and
monitoring systems in its Global NOC to serve as an
off-shift help desk.
